Question: What time does it start each day?
Answer: First flight takes off at 8:00 am both days. Note: This is early because some falcons fly at first light as part of their normal routine and like to take full advantage of the crisp morning air. Some of the best flights of the day are often first thing. Worth getting up early!
Question: How much does it cost?
Answer: Free.
Question: Are children welcome?
Answer: Yes! We are glad to have them here. They are fortunate to get to see these amazing falcons up close. Now just don’t get too close. Falcons and the other birds here generally don’t like to be touched or petted. They are still wild birds. Please ask the owner of the falcon if you can get a closer look or a picture.
Parents please keep your children in the audience and not out playing away from the audience. This will keep the falcons focused on the falconer.
Question: Are dogs welcome?
Answer: We prefer dogs to be left at home. Some falconers will have dogs with them as part of their flights, and that is because they are a a part of the hunting team. If you do need to bring your dog, please keep them in a car or in a kennel. A dog out running free might be distracting for a falcon in flight.
Question: Are there toilets available?
Answer: Yes we have portable toilets available.
Question: Can I buy something to eat?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Can I buy falconry items?
Answer: Yes, there are generally a number of items for sale and some people sell items from their vehicles as well.
Question: What about the Weather?
Answer: The Sky Trials is a rain or shine event. We will not cancel due to weather. Make sure you prepare for the elements. We’ve had days of freezing temperatures and other days in shirt sleeves. January in Utah!
